A dummy unit has the same body as a standard Skipper unit, but contains no tape.
The Dummy unit is used to act as a receiver for the Skipper unit’s tape end clip
If you want a Skipper unit without any tape, then you need a dummy unit.
Dummy units allow you to attach an end clip as with a normal skipper unit, but come without any tape.
You can use a dummy as an ‘end unit’, where the line of tape doesn’t need to go any further
